“In every walk in nature one receives far more than he seeks.” John Muir
The fall is the perfect time to get outside to observe the changing light, to take in the smells and to witness the leaves as their colors change right before our eyes. As the cooler months greet us, we make our way into the natural world as much as possible.
Listening as the acorns fall through the tree branches, making their final plummet to the earth sounding like a rainstorm on a tin roof reminds us to quiet ourselves and listen to the forest, for everything is so very alive in nature.
And when we are outside we are reminded to collect moments and forgo things. Sometimes we need the simple reminders that life is filled with greens, blues, yellows, setting suns and rising moons; for it truly is the little things in this life that make us the happiest.
