This weeks photo was taken last year in Valley Forge National Historical Park, located in Pennsylvania.

Valley Forge is ideal for long strolls, pleasant hikes, runs, bike rides or snowshoeing.  And if you are a history buff, you will enjoy learning more about the Continental Army and the American Revolutionary War.  Walk through history as you explore primitive log cabins once occupied by soldiers, enter the Visitor Center, stand at Washington’s Headquarters and take in a reenactment of life as it was in 1777-1778.

We spent countless hours in that park, and despite our proximity to the Swiss Alps, the Black Forest and incredible hiking opportunities just minutes from our home, we still miss that little gem of open land and rich history.  Photo_Week_2014-03-03-USA_March 2015May everyone enjoy a healthy weekend!
