In light of our recent post, sticking to the hiking theme, we felt compelled to share this photo during a hike this past weekend to the area of Vorarlberg Austria. This area hosts a magnificent lake, Lünersee, at 1,970m (6,480 ft.) illuminated in a serpentine glow (I’m guessing from the alpine rocks/minerals). Surprisingly distant from our arrival, it appeared nearly inaccessible due to the declination to it. The Sun’s vivid flare of midday kept our extensive trekking at bay, and to those tired and hungry could find sustenance at the Douglasshütte next to the Lünerseebahn (gondola) station.
