Approximately two and a half hours North of Bergen, Norway, and many tunnels later, the town of Aurland, Norway marks the start (and/or finish) of a beautiful pass between fjords.
The Aulandsvegan Road is well worth the trip, but be aware that this popular route is often congested with cars, making passing difficult at times on the single lane road. Drive with caution and yield to those coming down the mountain!
Once high above, the road widens along with the views. One such view, which is a welcomed break from the narrow traffic, is the Stegastein viewpoint (seen below).
