The Nigardsbreen Glacier located in the Jostedal Glacier National Park, is in the process of making a major transition.  Once filling the valley, the glacier is now retreating.

Glaciers are in a constant influx of transition – freezing, melting, retreating, and moving. Standing there with our children at our sides, we felt overwhelmed with our ability to share such incredible natural beauty with them – a slice of history that may sadly, one day, not be available for them or their children to witness.
